As a volcanic island, Ustica has several caverns where scuba divers venture: you'll find large, dark spaces that seem incredibly inviting, yet are potentially dangerous. A qualified instructor will guide you to enter far enough for adventure, but stay within the light zone for an easy exit.

The Cavern Adventure Dive is part of a list of scuba adventure you can experience in Ustica.
It is forbidden by the regulation of the MPA of Ustica Island to enter in an underewater cavern without a specific certification (unless you're training for it).
There are about 10 underwater caverns in Ustica, all around the island, at different depths and with various features. As an emerged part of a vast volcanic apparatus, the island has been invaded by the sea for variation of the level of the latter or for movements of the earth. Witnesses of these variations are the marine terraces that in some way concern the formation of some marine caves and in particular the calcareous concretions that are found in them.
An Adventure Dive gives you the opportunity to explore new environments and enjoy scuba diving more than ever, while working with your instructor to build your scuba skills and gain more confidence, when you still are not certified as a Specialty Diver.
